Sibiu City Hall signed the contract with SC Neo Plan SRL for the technical design services necessary for the modernization of Ogorului Street. The project, worth 130,500 lei, aims to develop SF documentation for the investment objective “Modernization of Ogorului street section I”.
The decision comes in response to complaints made in recent years by residents of the area, who requested the asphalting of the street.
In a petition signed by over 160 residents, sent to the local public administration last fall, they asked for the improvement of the infrastructure in the Ogor area, which has expanded in recent years through the construction of numerous residential blocks.
“(…) I also emphasized the benefits that citizens can have through asphalting, public lighting and parking, all of which increase the quality of life. The answers received from the Sibiu City Hall were simple copy + paste, changing only their number and recipient”, said Raul Ilieş, one of the residents.
At the request of Turnul Sfatului, the representatives of the Sibiu municipality told us then that the procedures for the modernization of the street in question have already been started, but they require time and are based on a series of documents and bureaucratic procedures. For example, the situation of the land on which the road passes must be regulated.
“Strada Ogorului is under the attention of the municipality for modernization, in order to achieve this goal, however, a whole series of steps are needed to regulate the land necessary for the development of the road, as well as the preparation of technical documentation. At this moment, the documentation for taking over in the public domain the land surfaces that the real estate developer is obliged to cede in order to build roads, according to the provisions of the approved PUZ, is being drawn up. Afterwards, the technical documentation required by the legislation for the start of an investment will be made: the feasibility study, the technical project and the construction authorization documentation”, informed the representatives of the Sibiu City Hall, at the request of the Council Tower.
