Buzoi firefighters were requested, on Thursday evening, to intervene to extinguish a fire that broke out at a house in the town of Săsenii Vechi, Vernești commune.

Three fire trucks with water and foam, a tank truck and a SMURD ambulance were dispatched to the scene, with a crew from the Buzău County Ambulance Service (SAJ) deployed in support.

Crews from the Emergency Situations Service of the Vernești commune also participated in the intervention.

When the fire crews arrived, the fire was on the roof of the house on an area of ​​approximately 200 square meters. The owner of the house was injured.

“A male victim who suffered burns to the face was identified at the scene. The man was given first aid by the SAJ crew, later being transported to the hospital”reports ISU Buzau.

Also, a woman suffered a panic attack, she was evaluated by the SMURD crew present at the scene. She refused the transport to the hospital, according to the specifications made by ISU Buzău. The fire was located and the firefighters started interventions to extinguish it.
