The 79-year-old man from the town of Nimăiesti, reported missing on Wednesday by his family, was found on Thursday morning in the North Railway Station in Bucharest.

The announcement was made on Thursday by the spokeswoman of IPJ Bihor, Alina Fărcuţa, who mentioned that the septuagenarian “was found during this morning, around 09:00, in the North Railway Station in the city of Bucharest, by the policemen of the Station Transport Police Bureau from North Bucharest”.

From the Police information, it appears that the man was not the victim of any crime and that he is to be taken over by family members.

It is not clear how the old man got to the Capital, but on the Facebook groups, several people mentioned that they had helped him get on various means of transport on Wednesday evening. “I saw him in Nufărul around 5 o’clock,” wrote an Oradean.

The granddaughter of the missing man, who had announced on Facebook that she was looking for her grandfather, wrote on Thursday that he had been found and thanked people for their mobilization.

“Thank you all for your involvement and the large number of shares to help me. I found the grandfather. It’s good!”, the woman wrote.
