“In 3 rows we requested the help of the Police” – Cluj residents of Gheorgheni, terrorized by night parties organized at a hotel in the neighborhood

The residents of a street in Gheorgheni have reached the limit of their powers due to the noise coming from a hotel in the area. A man who lives near the hotel claims that since spring has come, the moods are in full swing, including during the week.

He says that the noise is unbearable, complemented by “live” accordion music but also by the screams of customers. The man from Cluj would have called the police to stop the parties as well as the hotel representatives, but without any result.

“Various parties are organized both during the week and at the weekend that go beyond 11:00 p.m. There is loud music, the outside terrace overlooking the apartment blocks is used.

In 3 repeated rows I requested the help of both the Local Police and the Police. At the first intervention, the Local Police crew could not intervene to reduce the noise because the organizer of the event was intoxicated and did not respond positively to the law enforcement agencies, so the intervention of a Cluj Police crew was necessary by calling 112.

I spoke with the hotel reception employee and communicated that I would like to be quiet and respect the quiet hours. I didn’t get any response from the hotel even though I left the contact details.

In the night from April 24th to 25th, I notified both the Cluj Police and the Local Police by calling 112 again for the same notification. The hotel continued the party until after 3 in the morning when the party-goers came out of the hotel with accordion and screaming at the top of their lungs. In this sense, I also made a video. From the footage, you can hear the noise in the hotel, the noise outside the hotel, in the public space area, citizens yelling and using inappropriate words.

I mention that with the arrival of spring, residents in the vicinity of the hotel who have windows facing the hotel’s restaurant terrace will not be able to stay with the windows open.”, the man complained, asking the local authorities to check the hotel.
