In recent years, many locations dedicated to outdoor sports have been set up in Romania’s big cities. Most of the time it is about football fields.

Although these surfaces appear like mushrooms after the rain, most of the time they turn out to be insufficient.

Romanians are more and more eager to exercise, and this can also be seen from the high degree of occupation of football fields in the country’s big cities. There are dozens of such locations in the city of Iași, and they are always booked, especially in the evening.

“Adevărul” reporters spoke with the owners of such a field, who stated that their business is doing very well and that the field, specially designed for football, is permanently rented.

“I laid out this soccer field about two years ago. At first it was a little harder, until people found out about us, but we promoted ourselves quite a lot on the Internet. There are many groups on Facebook, with thousands of people, who play football in such locations and we took advantage of this. At this moment, we can say that we have reached 100% occupancy. When we talk about this percentage, we mean the evening hours, because people don’t usually come during the day“, said the owner of a football field in Iași.

At this moment, at least in the city of Iași, it is difficult to find an available location for practicing sports.

“The land is reserved, from Monday to Sunday, between 18.00 and 24.00. We have customers who have subscribed, they come weekly, same day, same time. Most customers rent for two hours. The price is not high, we are talking about 180 lei for one hour, in our location. It’s a good deal, the investment amortizes over time and then becomes profitable as well. At this moment, at any soccer field in Iasi we call for a reservation, we will notice that there are no more seats available“, added the owner of the football field.
