If at the age of 67 some people walk their grandchildren through the park, an “old fish” deals with the collection of young women with problems whom he sends to the “product”.
On Thursday, the police officers of the Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Timișoara Municipality Police, with the support of the fighters of the Timiș Special Actions Service, carried out 3 home searches, in Timișoara, of a man suspected of committing the crime of pimping.
From the investigations it emerged that, between August 2023 and April 2024, the 67-year-old man would have determined and facilitated the practice of prostitution by 4 young women with precarious financial situations, aged between 19 and 23, in order to obtaining material benefits.
The criminal activity would have been carried out in the municipality of Timișoara, by arranging meetings between young women and clients, as well as by making available the residential premises that he owned.
Following house searches, several storage media were discovered and seized.
The man was taken into custody for 24 hours, under the aspect of committing the crime of pimping, to be presented to the prosecutor’s office with a proposal to report to the court for preventive arrest.
