The “Fani Tardini” Drama Theater presents on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28, from 7:00 p.m., the premiere of the show “Barefoot in the Park” by Neil Simon, which will be performed in a double cast. Directed by Laura Moldovan.
Produced between February and April 2024, the comedy “Barefoot in the Park” brings to the fore topics such as the vulnerability of couple relationships and the management of emotional and professional crises. The well-known and acclaimed text of Neil Simon, one of America’s most prolific playwrights, treats these sensitive subjects with a generous dose of humor and presents them on an optimistic note.
“The show tells the story of two newlyweds learning their first steps together, trying to deal with the challenges that come with the beginnings of their careers, moving into a small studio apartment in Manhattan, with all the funny and tense situations of their life as a newlywed couple. It is a comedy about assumption, acceptance, empathy, love and zest for life, which touches with delicacy, humor and optimism topics such as the fragility of the couple’s relationship at the beginning of the marriage, the mother-daughter relationship, as well as overcoming some emotional thresholds in the second age” , explains director Laura Moldovan.
On Saturday, April 27, the first premiere of the show will take place, with the following cast: Ama Beschieru, Robert Ioan, Petronela Buda, Cristian Gheorghe, Ionuț Moldoveanu and Vlad Ajder. On Sunday, April 28, the second premiere will be played, from the cast of which are: Flavia Călin, Ciprian Brașoveanu, Ana Maria Ciucanu, Cristian Gheorghe, Vlad Ajder and Ionuț Moldoveanu.
