RETIM and ADI SIGD launch campaigns for FREE collection of bulky, hazardous household and textile waste in Zone 1 Arad, intended for household users

What users of the sanitation service in the area served by RETIM in Arad county should remember

What is collected for free in these campaigns

• Bulky waste: furniture (chests, coffee tables, dressing tables, decorative, children’s writing tables, shelves, metal shelves, sofas, beds, wardrobes), towel racks, bathtubs and shower cabins (without glass), door frames and windows (without glass), carpets, rugs, mats, mattresses, chandeliers, paintings, pots and wall clocks (without electronic components).

• Household hazardous waste: packaging what ccontain residues of dangerous substances or are contaminated with themsolvents, acids, alkalis, paints, inks, adhesives, resins and wood waste with hazardous substances, detergents containing hazardous substances, photographic chemicalspesticides, oils and fats (other than dietary).

• Textile waste: textile packaging, clothes, bedding, quilts, blankets, drapes, curtains, cloths, mops, rugs and small carpets.

Way of collecting bulky waste

• You live at home: waste must be placed in front of the gate, without blocking traffic, before the scheduled collection date.

• You live in the block: waste must be stored near existing collection points for household waste, without blocking traffic, before the scheduled collection date.

The collection calendar will be communicated at least 7 days before the campaign, on the RETIM website, on social media and by distributing leaflets from door to door.

Bulky waste collection campaigns will be organized every six months in the urban environment and annually in the countryside.

How to collect household and textile hazardous waste

The free collection of this waste is done within the half-yearly campaigns, by voluntary contribution, respectively by handing them over to fixed points, according to the collection calendar established by the operator.

The calendar and collection locations will be published on the RETIM website and communicated through social media channels, as well as through flyers distributed at least one week before the start of the campaign.

The towns included in the campaign

The sanitation services contract for Zone 1 of Arad county includes the municipality of Arad, the cities of Curtici, Nădlac, Pâncota, Pecica, Sântana and the communes of Covăsânt, Dorobanti, Fântânele, Felnac, Frumușeni, Iratoșu, Livada, Macea, Peregu Mare, Secusigiu, Semlac, Șagu, Șeitin, Şiria, Șofronea, Vinga, Vladimirescu, Zădăreni and Zimandu Nou.

Qwe encourage all residents of Zone 1 to actively participate in these campaigns and consult the collection charts to prepare waste accordingly. By working together, we can ensure efficient waste management and a positive impact on the environment.

All these campaigns are presented in detailed graphs showing the collection programs specific to each locality.

The address of the fixed points where textile and hazardous household waste can be handed in free of charge, as well as the interval in which this waste is collected by RETIM representatives, are available on the operator’s website – https://retim.ro/utile-arad/.

This waste is only collected separately. They must not be mixed with other categories – for example with recyclable, vegetable, residual, construction waste, WEEE, etc.

Free collection in these campaigns is for home users only.

All users of the sanitation service are encouraged to enter into valid contracts with RETIM to avoid legal sanctions and to benefit from the collection services offered.
