Alin Rainea, organizer of this event, together with the “Angel Wings” Association, gives a beautiful Easter gift to the inhabitants of the commune
On May 6, on the second day of Easter, the first edition of a folk, pop and rock festival will take place in Rociu. Alin Rainea, organizer and son of the commune, spoke to us about this event, which will take place at the weekly fair, starting at 2 p.m.
“Why leave everything on May 6 and come to the “Acas’ La Noi La Rociu” festival? Because: entry is free. FOR CHILDREN: we will do creative workshops with Easter themes; there will be entertainers with games and contests; surprises and other attractions (slide, airsoft). We will also have: fundraising campaign, donations – toys, clothes, shoes and electrical, electronic and household appliances. These will reach less fortunate children and families through the “Angel Wings” Association.
FOR CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND ADULTS: we will organize a table tennis competition; there will be various economic agents – public food (Frătia Ceaunelor, food trucks with hamburgers, pancakes, ice cream, donuts and other sweets and products); we promote local talents on stage; you will listen to established artists from folk, pop and rock music; at the end of the festival, the DJs and the MC will end with a disco (like in the old days). YOU’RE WELCOME!” – transmitted Alin Rainea, who also says that she wants to organize a festival “like no other”, because “people in Rociu commune also need art, music and poetry”.
Events organized over the years by Alin Rainea:
- “From December 1 let there be Traditions, Folk and Poetry” – 2014-2024, the 10th edition will take place this year (3 nights and 4 days of good music, where famous artists sang) at Casa Bela, in Bughea from above.
- The “Ana lui Manole” National Folk Festival, together with the “Angel Wings” Association – 2023 and 2024 – Curtea de Argeș.
- Camp “Friendship on guitar strings”, organized for 60 guitar players from Pitesti and Curtea de Argeș. A week at Sulina in the Danube Delta.
- The Folk and Poetry show with Sorin Poclitaru and Maria Rainea, held at the “Alexandru Davila” Theater in Pitesti and another show at the “Ilfoveanu&Badea” Foundation in Pitesti.
- The show “Once a month you listen to folk and good music”.
- countless fund-raising campaigns, donations of books, toys, electrical, electronic and household appliances, together with the “Angel Wings” Cultural-Christian Association, helping numerous less fortunate families and children.
- supporting associations for children with autism in Pitesti.

Because these activities are a part of my life and because, also in Rociu commune, people need art, music and poetry, I want to organize a music festival in our commune like never before. It can be compared to any other festival held “in the city”.
As a date, I chose Monday, May 6, being the day after Easter, thinking that those who return home or come home, to their children, parents, or just come home, can also participate. This festival will be annual and will be held every time on the second day of Easter. This year will be the first edition. I hope the program will allow as many of you to participate as possible.
The annual festival of music, art and culture: “Acas’ La Noi la Rociu”, edition I, May 6, 2024.
On May 6, 2024, the Commune of Rociu will wear festive clothes and not only because the Easter holidays are fast approaching, but also because the Cultural-Christian Association “Angel Wings” together with Alin Rainea have thought of a beautiful event dedicated all social categories. This would be our Easter gift. It was the turn of the Rociu commune to enjoy the many surprises prepared by the organizers. The motto of the Cultural-Christian Association “Angel Wings” from Curtea de Argeş is “Children are the future, we are the shapers!” and that’s why we thought of personal development, artistic, creative and design workshops for the little ones of the Rociu commune, as well as many gifts! Talented children and their teachers can take the stage to present the fruits of their labor.
They will be invited to participate: “Gheorghe Mocanu” High School Şerbăneşti, Rociu commune; “Nicolae Bălcescu” High School, Structure I, from Pitesti; “Nicolae Bălcescu” Secondary School from Pitesti and other schools and kindergartens from Rociu and the surrounding area, which will compete in imagination, talent and creativity. The teaching staff of these schools will offer creative Easter workshops and many gifts!
For youth and adults, the organizers will continue the artistic program with the First edition of the Music Festival “Acas La Noi La Rociu”, a festival that will include almost all genres of music: folk, pop, rock and disco.
Prominent guests, established artists, will make their appearance on the set stage of the communal fair. They will be: the well-known actor, poet, singer-songwriter Radu Pietreanu (Cenaclul Flacăra, Vacanța Mare, stand-up comedy), singer-songwriter Mihai Napu & band (Cenaclul Flacăra, singer-songwriter, complete artist with an exceptional band), Andrei Păunescu (Cenaclul Flacăra and Cenaclul Högte lubirea) and Vanghele Gogu (Cenaclul Flacăra and Cenaclul Högte lubirea), the young folk, pop, rock performer Maria Rainea, as well as other surprise guests.

We will always keep our friends close! They have been with us in various activities and projects implemented over time.
And because we are also thinking about our young people and teenagers, they will be part of a disco program supported by DJ Eden, DJ Grafik and MC White (Radio MFM Music).
Also, at the beginning of the show, children or teenagers, young people or adults, who have artistic talents and want to show them off, are welcome on stage (they must be from the Rociu commune and only on the basis of a previous audition).
The Cultural-Christian Association “Angel Wings” was and is supported by OMUL Alin Rainea. And because Alin Rainea wants a cultural-creative change, for the Rociu commune, where, by the way, she lives, together we thought of SOMETHING.
Because Alin… is the only alternative.
Every ROMANIA loves to go home and “nowhere is like HOME”, that’s why this project wants to be a HOME, meaning “HOME TO US AT ROCIU”!
WE INVITE YOU “HOME TO US AT ROCIU”, and Alin Rainea will be our host and will offer us unique moments, experiences and feelings, because that’s how Romanians are, warm, welcoming and generous.
At the same time, this project is a charitable one, within which more than 1,000 packages/gifts (basic foods and sweets) will be donated to needy families. Keeping the tradition, of these, 250 packages will reach some of the families in Rociu (with the support and selection made by the priests from the parishes of Rociu commune). During the event, cash donations can be made directly to the association’s account or in the existing mobile urn, and donations of books, functional toys, clothes and shoes, electrical, electronic and household appliances are also accepted. There will be a special reception area for these donations. These donors will be rewarded with value vouchers, which can be settled at the public catering units in the location where the event takes place.
You’re welcome! Because, this time, there is an alternative for the residents of Rociu commune.
