The United Nations has declared Gaza as famine-stricken, highlighting severe hunger and thirst among residents in certain parts of the region. According to a report from the World Food Program, led by Sandy McKean, the current situation in Gaza is not just challenging to witness but even more difficult to endure.

In a statement, Mckean expressed the harrowing post-war environment in Gaza, emphasizing ongoing efforts to reduce suffering to the maximum extent possible by brokering a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. She noted that some areas of the Gaza Strip are experiencing acute famine conditions, rapidly enveloping southern regions in its grip.

On the other hand, a series of inhuman atrocities by the Israeli military continues in Gaza, while aid destined for Gaza is being denied entry into the city. Experts warn that due to Israeli bombardments and restrictions, Gaza is currently grappling with severe humanitarian crises, with food scarcity topping the list of concerns.

The relentless shelling and restrictions have made it extremely challenging to provide financial and medical assistance to those affected in the region. While there has been a recent increase in aid entering Gaza, humanitarian groups stress that it is insufficient to address the pressing needs of the population.
