After the Easter break, students resume classes on Wednesday, May 8. It is the fifth and last learning module of this school year, when national exams are scheduled.

The fifth learning module starts from May 8 and will end on June 21, except for students in the 12th and 13th grades, who will complete the school year on June 7, and those in the 8th grade , which ends the courses on June 14.

It is also the segment of the school year in which children from the 2nd, 4th and 6th grades will take the assessments, scheduled between May 13 and May 29.

In the next month, the national exams at the end of secondary school and at the end of high school begin.

The National Assessment takes place between June 25-28, the first results will be displayed on July 3, and the results after appeals will be published on July 9, and the graduates of the XIIth and XIIIth classes will enter the Baccalaureate from June 17 , when the oral tests begin – those certifying skills in Romanian and a foreign language, as well as digital skills. They will end on June 27, after which the written tests are scheduled for July 1-5. The first results will be displayed on July 8, and the final results, after appeals, will be published on July 12.

On Tuesday, May 7, the registration period for the special session of the Baccalaureate begins, the one that can be taken by graduates from the Olympic groups or those who participate in international sports and artistic competitions, which take place in the summer, at the same time as the exam. Also, high school graduates who take the entrance exam to military academies in the United States of America. Registrations are made until May 10, and tests are scheduled between May 21 and 30. The final results will be announced on June 4. Last year, there were 163 candidates who took the Baccalaureate in the special session, and 131 of them passed the exam.

The calendar of national exams, according to Edupedu.ro:

National Assessment at the end of the 8th grade 2024:

  • 11 – 14 June 2024: Enrollment in the National Assessment
  • June 14, 2024: End of courses for 8th grade students
  • June 25, 2024 – Written test in Romanian
  • June 27, 2024 – Written exam in Mathematics
  • June 28, 2024 – The written test in the mother tongue
  • July 3, 2024 – Display of results before appeals (until 14:00)
  • July 3 (16:00 – 19:00) and July 4, 2024 (08:00 – 12:00) – Submission of appeals
  • 4 – 9 July 2024 – Resolution of appeals
  • July 9, 2024 – Displaying the final results after resolving appeals

Registration for high school admission in 2024 will begin on July 11, and the distribution of candidates takes place on July 24.

Baccalaureate 2024:

3 – 7 June 2024: Registration of candidates for the first exam session

June 7, 2024: Completion of courses for the 12th/13th grade

  • 17 – 19 June 2024: Evaluation of the linguistic skills of oral communication in Romanian – test A
  • 19 – 20 June 2024: Evaluation of the language skills of oral communication in the mother tongue – sample B
  • 19 – 21 June 2024: Evaluation of digital skills – test D
  • 25 – 27 June 2024: Assessment of language skills in an internationally spoken language – test C
  • July 1, 2024: Romanian language and literature – test Ea) – written test
  • July 2, 2024: Mandatory profile test – Ec test) – written test
  • July 4, 2024: The test to choose the profile and specialization – the Ed test) – the written test
  • July 5, 2024: Mother tongue and literature – test Eb) – written test

July 8, 2024: Displaying the results of the written tests until 12.00) and submitting appeals between 12.00 and 18.00

9 – 11 July 2024: Resolution of appeals

July 12, 2024: Display the final results.
