An explosion followed by a fire occurred on Monday morning in the town of Valea Lupului, in Iasi county

An explosion followed by a fire occurred on Monday morning in the town of Valea Lupului, in Iasi County, in a four-story building. 15 people were evacuated.

The explosion occurred on the 1st floor of the four-story building, announced ISU Iasi.

Firefighter teams from Iași intervened with 4 special vehicles for extinguishing, a special vehicle for extrication and a first aid crew.

The fire was contained.

According to the ISU Iași, they burned furniture, various textile materials, various electrical appliances in a room and balcony.

The probable cause of the fire was “the use of open fire in closed spaces”, a lit candle being left unattended, writes news.ro.

No casualties were recorded.
