The Constanta county councilors will meet in session in five days. Then the amendments brought by the Union of Representative Students could be adopted

A new extraordinary meeting of the Constanța County Council, the second of this month, will be convened in five days.

The decision was taken during today’s ordinary meeting, in order to be able to adopt the amendments brought by the Union of Representative Students to the project regarding the approval of the documentation for the awarding of the contract for the delegation of the management of the public service of public transport of people through regular trips in Constanța county – LOT 3. Lorena Drăgușin, president of the Student Union, explained what would happen if the project remained in the form voted today.

“In principle, now the situation is ok, but if this project is approved, then clearly we will no longer have free transport. We appreciate that the county transportation of students must be financed from the county budget, as the laws that I mentioned in the amendments also say. We have included in annex 7.2 a table that is in accordance with the ANRSC address, in accordance, because the one proposed in the project is not in accordance with these criteria”, said Lorena Drăgușin, president of the Students’ Union.

Lot 3 is the only one of the eight in Constanța county, which remained unallocated, because the bids submitted were non-compliant. The lot includes six routes, including Constanța – Murfatlar – Poarta Albă, Constanța – Cobadin, Fântâna Mare or Constanța – Adamclisi – Ostrov Vamă. In order to ensure the continuity of the county public transport service on lot 3, the Constanța County Council initiates the negotiation procedure without prior invitation to a competitive bidding procedure, as an absolutely necessary measure. This procedure covers a limited period of time, namely until the completion of the ongoing tender, the award of the new contract and the completion of the mobilization period of the operator declared the winner.
