“1 Decembrie 1918” University wants to award 12 scholarships for scientific performance. Calendar and award conditions

Despite the effort that must be made to obtain it, the amount of the grant awarded for research is lower than that of the performance grant I or II!

Students starting from the second year and master’s students of the University “1 Decembrie 1918” Alba Iulia who have a very good academic and scientific activity and who have recorded meritorious performances in the activity of scientific research can request to obtain the scholarship for scientific performance, granted according to the regulation recently updated by the Senate UAB.

The registration of candidates will take place on April 23-24, at 11:00 p.m., and the files are submitted to the e-mail address [email protected] of the Center for Scientific Research of UAB. The scientific performance scholarship is awarded for a period of 6 months, only once during the years of study, cumulatively at the bachelor’s and master’s level, being intended for the material support of students who propose and carry out a scientific research project during the period of its award.

The university will allocate 12 scholarships for scientific performance, one for each department.

The amount of the scientific performance scholarship is 1,000 lei/month, being lower than that of the performance scholarship I or II (1,500 lei monthly, respectively 1,200 lei/month), but it is also granted during the students’ summer vacation . The exception is students and final-year master’s students, for whom the period of awarding the scientific performance scholarship cannot exceed the moment of completion of studies (supporting the bachelor’s thesis or dissertation).

If the scientific performance scholarship has not been allocated to one or more of the departments, it will be redistributed to the departments with more candidates, in descending order of evaluation scores, with the approval of the UAB Board of Directors.

The file evaluation process is carried out in 3 stages, the results to be published at the end of each stage on the page of the Center for Scientific Research. According to the calendar, in the first stage of selection from April 25-26, the verification of files, the submission and resolution of appeals are scheduled.

The second stage will take place between May 7-10, when the candidates will be subjected to the interview test, followed by the submission and resolution of appeals. In May 13 – June 14, the external evaluators will be selected and the evaluation will be carried out in the 3rd stage, followed by the submission and resolution of the findings.

Between June 17 and 30, the approval in the CA of the UAB and the conclusion of the contracts with the beneficiaries of the scholarships are scheduled.
