Details of the incident
According to spynews.ro reports, a woman, a former nurse with over 40 years of experience, arrived urgently at the hospital with her husband who was suffering from an advanced form of cancer and had serious breathing difficulties. Instead of receiving care, the couple was met with indifference and insults by the doctor on duty: “MARCH OUT! Don’t hold me to account.. Get out!”according to the testimonies gathered by the Adevărul newspaper.
The incident generated an immediate reaction from the authorities, who launched an investigation to investigate the unacceptable behavior of the doctor. The representatives of the hospital in Bacău expressed their regret for the situation created and promised to take disciplinary measures against those responsible.
The couple asked for help, but received insults
Although the patient’s wife tried to get help, insisting on the need for urgent medical assistance, the response of the doctor on duty was unprofessional and lacking empathy, urging the two to leave the medical facility. This attitude was received with revolt and consternation by those present, sparking a public debate about professional ethics within medical institutions.
