Dolj Court, second time lucky. The presidents and deputies of the electoral offices were again drawn, today, after the Central Electoral Office accepted an appeal from several lawyers of the Dolj Bar Association, which requested the resumption of the April 15 operation.
They signaled the fact that the legal provisions were not taken into account, namely that the appointment had to be made, by drawing lots, first among the magistrates of the Dolj Court and of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to this
court and the other jurists with domicile or residence in the county based on the criterion of the proximity of the domicile or residence to the locality or administrative-territorial subdivision in which the constituency electoral office will function.
The drawing of lots had to be done with priority from the list of magistrates, first for presidents and then for deputies.

Instead, the appellants pointed out, the lists drawn up for the drawing of lots included from the very beginning magistrates from the Court of Appeal and the Court’s Prosecutor’s Office, the Craiova District Court, but also other courts in the county.
In Cernătești, for example, a magistrate had been appointed from the Dragășani Court, Vâlcea county, who had obtained a floating visa at the address of a relative in Dolj.
In other words, even those who are supposed to share justice have gone wrong with the right by crowding into the ballot box thinking that they will just get the money from the state.

It was the first time that such a scandal arose during the establishment of electoral offices.
Situations similar to the one in Dolj were also recorded in Alba, Giurgiu, Argeș, Ialomița and Giurgiu counties. At least, here too the BEC decided to resume the procedure for appointing office management.
