“Adjacent to the modern use of the space, the refunctionalization, rehabilitation of the alleys, the drawing of logical access paths and the appropriate furnishing of the park, the rehabilitation of the related green space is taken into account, arrangement which, in addition to the benefits for the environment, will have an important contribution to the integration of the space into the local landscape and to the aesthetic and functional improvement of the area,” the specifications state.

According to the quoted source, the interventions on the topography will be minimal, the main purpose being the accessibility of the routes and connections with the neighboring areas. Thus, among other things, the fences will be abolished. “Various functions compatible and complementary to a public green space will be inserted – a playground, an area for small-scale events, rest areas,” the award documentation also states. The interventions will take into account the entire park spread over an area of ​​5.8 hectares. One component of the project provides for the integration of a monument dedicated to the victims of the Holocaust.

As for the green spaces, more than 120 (deciduous) trees, 1,000 shrubs, about 2,000 flower species and ornamental grasses will be planted, while the grassy area will reach 5.6 hectares. At the level of urban furniture, the project provides benches (with or without backrests), deckchairs, chess tables, playground equipment, fitness equipment (including for seniors), a multi-purpose sports field, trash cans, pergolas, equipment for a dedicated park dogs, an underground waste collection platform and, last but not least, tree tutoring systems.
The lighting system will include 64 new poles (4 meters), with LED, along with a night light for the sports field (16 poles of 6 m), recessed fixtures and reflectors.

The total value of the contract amounts to 20.5 million lei (without VAT), and the offers will be opened on May 31. The funds are provided from the local budget. The builder who will win the tender will carry out the design within 3 months, and another 33 months are dedicated to the works, according to the specifications.
