The large Boeing 767 plane, which brought troops from a military base in Texas, landed at Sibiu airport

--

BoardingPass, the aviation information website, published on Tuesday evening photos and images of the large plane, a Boeing 767, which landed at Sibiu airport.

“The large plane that I was telling you about at lunch landed earlier on runway 09 of the Sibiu airport.
This is a Boeing 767-200ER that operated an irregular flight (charter) from an airbase in the American state of Texas to Sibiu, with a refueling stop in Shannon (Ireland).

The plane, operated by the American airline company Omni Air International, will take off this evening from Sibiu airport,” says the BoardingPass Facebook page

Contacted by the Turnul Sfatului reporter, the director of the Sibiu airport specified that it was a non-commercial flight.

“I can tell you that it is a military flight, a plane that transports troops to Sibiu. The plane comes from Ireland, from Dublin. I cannot say more details, you will have to contact the Ministry of National Defense”, said Marius Gîrdea, director of the Sibiu International Airport, for the Council Tower.

It is important to state that it is not the first time that a plane of such size has landed in Sibiu. Similar aircraft, some with troops, landed in Sibiu in 2016 and 2018.
