The “Gulliver” Theater for Children and Youth in Galati is organizing, in the second half of May, a new edition of the “Gulliver” International Animation Festival, which will take place both at the theater’s premises, as well as in the Public Garden and on the Faleza, where there will be fun outdoor activities and creative workshops for the whole family.
The series of performances at the theater headquarters will begin on May 20 (the first day of the festival – no), at 10:00 a.m., with the “Hansel and Gretel” performance of the “Arlechino” Children’s Theater from Brașov, the performance being scheduled in the theater’s large hall . The show “Robot”, presented by David Zuazoladin (Spain) will be played in the Studio room, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. On the same day, from 7:00 p.m., “Mateiaș Gâscarul”, staged by the “Șăndărică” Animation Theater from Bucharest, awaits its spectators in the theater’s large hall.
On Tuesday, May 21, from 10:00 a.m., the artists of the “Vasilache” Theater for Children and Youth from Botoșani will take the stage, with the show “The Little Prince”. The second day of the festival will continue, from 12:00 p.m., with the troupe of the “Puck” Puppet Theater from Cluj-Napoca, which will present the show “Three Enchanted Gifts”, then from 6:00 p.m. the people of Galați can enjoy the show ” Zaharașka and the forgotten snow”, presented by the Art Theater in Bucharest, and from 19.00, by “Aventurile lui Săgeata”, presented by the actors of the “Ion Creangă Theater” in Bucharest, in the great hall of the Galățean theatre.
The festival will continue on Wednesday, May 22, from 10:00 a.m., the first performance of the day being the show “Magic Way”, performed by the actors of the Children’s Comic Opera from Bucharest. From 11:30, the “Ariel” Children’s and Youth Theater from Târgu Mureș will perform “Urban Mienături”, and in the afternoon of the same day, from 18:00, the guests from Mureș will take the stage again, with “Anotimpuri” . From 19.00, the actors of the Comic Opera for Children will also return to the festival, with “Little Red Riding Hood”.
In the opening of the series of performances on Thursday, May 23, from 10.00 a.m., the Children’s and Youth Theater “Merlin” from Timișoara will take the stage, with the play “The extraterrestrial who wanted a pajama as a memory”, then, from 11.30 a.m., the story “Enchanted princesses” will be sung by the actors of the Republican Puppet Theater “Licurici” from the Republic of Moldova, followed by the actors from the Youth Theater in Piatra Neamț, who, from 18.00, will play in “Jurassic”. From 19.00, the spectators will meet “Degeteca”, presented by the actors of the Children and Youth Theater “Gulliver” from Galati.
The beginning of the weekend will bring to the Galăța stage, on Friday, May 24, from 10:00 a.m., the show “Clown’s Nest”, presented by the “Imaginario” Theater for Children and Youth from Ploiesti, then, at 11:30 a.m., the play “Duck, death and the tulip” will be staged by the actors of the “Magic Puppet” Theater from Cluj-Napoca. From 18.00, “Bench-time stories”, performed by Bence Sarkandi Theater of Marionettes, from Hungary, is scheduled, a show dedicated to adults. From 19:00, the Little Theater in Bucharest ends the series of performances of the day with the play “Cosmic Latte”.
On Saturday, May 25, on the last day of the festival, the actors from the “Ambassadorii” Musical Theater from Bucharest will take the stage, from 10.00 a.m., with the show “The musical box – the adventures of the enchanted hat”, and from 11.00 a.m., the Israeli Theater “The Key Theatre” will stage the play “Don’t poke the bear”. The “Gulliver” festival will end with the performance of the “IL Caragiale” National Theater from Bucharest, which will present to Galați spectators, from 7:00 p.m., “A few people away from you”.
As in previous years, “Viata liberă” is the media partner of the festival and will present the most important moments of this important artistic event in Galaţi.
