The decision to dismiss the director from the “George Enescu” National College of Music in Bucharest, Cristina Sebastian, fired by the Bucharest School Inspectorate (ISMB) half a year ago, was annulled by the court, according to the judicial portal, writes Edupedu. ro.
The decision can be appealed within the next 10 days, according to the cited source.
In other words, the court took the enforceable decision to annul the decision by which the director of the George Enescu College of Music was dismissed by the School Inspectorate of the Municipality of Bucharest (ISMB) on September 25, 2023, after several ISMB controls at the high school regarding the establishment of a fifth grade.
The school inspectorate decided to replace Sebastian because he had established a 5th grade class without the institution’s approval and had found several irregularities in internal documents, although the high school management requested additional places for students on September 1, after the admission, and received a negative first answer at the high school only on September 19. The 2023-2024 school year began on September 12.
The Education Inspectorate of the Municipality of Bucharest backdated the first decision rejecting the establishment of the class, according to Edupedu.ro sources.
