A bailiff from Gorj was sent to court by the DNA, in a case in which he allegedly damaged the Oltenia Energy Complex with more than 1.2 million lei, through forced execution procedures. The executor would have claimed fees even 37 times higher than those provided by law. Along with him, another person was sent to court.

The prosecutors of the National Anticorruption Directorate – Territorial Service Craiova have ordered the prosecution, in a state of freedom, of the defendants: Matei Cosmin Catrinoiu, at the time of the act a bailiff within the BEJ “Catrinoiu Matei Cosmin”, for abuse of office with obtaining undue benefits, in continuous form, and SG, for complicity in abuse of office if the civil servant obtained, for himself or for another, an improper benefit, in continuous form.

According to the DNA press release, in the period September 3, 2018 – April 27, 2022, in the context of the conduct, at the request of the defendant SG, of three forced execution procedures, Catrinoiu, in the mentioned capacity, through the documents drawn up in violation of the legal provisions, would have caused damage to the debtor The company “Complexul Energetic Oltenia” SA in the total amount of approximately 1,205,497 lei, simultaneously with obtaining an undue benefit for the two defendants.
