The representatives of Karate Club Gemina DBP Alba Iulia won 8 medals at the Alba Carolina Cup

A week after the Karate Scorpion Cup in Balș (Olt), the representatives of the ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP Alba Iulia participated in the Alba Carolina Karate Cup, a long-awaited competition, held in the gym of the “Horea, Cloșca and Crișan” College Alba Iulia, in the organization of ACS Karate Forever Alba Iulia.

Young karatekas, up to 18 years old or over 18 years old from several clubs in the country, competed on the tatami mats with great desire to compete, perseverance, grit, team spirit and the will to win. The competition was organized in 5 events: kihon, individual kata, individual kumite, team kata and team kumite.

The ACS Karate Club Gemina DBP Alba Iulia delegation was made up of sensei Dorin Mureșan, 4th dan, coach and referee in the competition and 6 karatekas, a slightly different lineup compared to the Scorpion Cup: Anamaria Suciu, Aura Muntean, Mihai Muntean, Claudia Cornici and two athletes at their first karate competition in which they participated with great enthusiasm and courage, Iulia Gordeș and Elizabeth Gordeș.

The athletes trained in Alba Iulia by shihan Dumitru Danciu, 8 dan, sensei Cosmin Bolca, 5 dan, sensei Dorin Mureșan, 4 dan and sensei Laurentiu Bolca, 4 dan again had a high quality level and consistency in their evolutions, winning in total 8 medals, of which 4 gold medals and 4 silver medals. *Aura Muntean, 13 years old, 5 kyu-kata individual-silver

*Mihai Muntean, 10 years old, 9 kyu-kata individual-silver

*Cornici Claudia, 13 years old, 9 kyu, -kata individual-silver, -kumite individual shobu sanbon-gold

*Iulia Gordeș, 10 years old, 10 kyu-kihon-gold

*Elizabeth Gordeș, 8 years old, 10 kyu -kihon-gold.
