“We have, as you know very well, of the amounts from tranche 1 and tranche 2, we have used up to now about 20%, so there is no question that Romania would run out of money. Really, we are waiting for the last report, after the visit of Mrs. Celine Gauer, and then we will take the next step. This year money will be collected. The important thing is to collect the full amount”, says Marcel Ciolacu.
He was asked if he is disappointed with the relationship with the European Commission.
“No, we will continue the discussions. What a disappointment for me for things that I did not pass in PNRR. The commission comes, tells us and shows us the things we have assumed. Ghinea and Cîțu assumed those things in PNRR. We are trying to negotiate, for example, how it is with micro-enterprises, where Ghinea and Cîţu assumed that there would be a threshold of 60,000 (of euros – no). Mr. Ciucă and I assumed that we would decrease from one million to 500,000 (of euros – no), which we did”, concludes Ciolacu.
