Saharan dust immortalized above the city

--

A wave of Saharan dust is over Romania until the evening of Tuesday, April 2. The new wave of dust coming from sandstorms in North Africa is crossing Romania, after a warning was issued by meteorologists last week. A cloud like a fog was formed from the dust particles and was immortalized above Cluj-Napoca, Monday, April 1, by the photographer Sergiu Răzvan.

At the same time, meteorologists say that starting from the night of Monday to Tuesday, in some areas where it will rain, deposits of dust will be observed.

“At the end of March, the predominantly southwest circulation favored the penetration of an air mass loaded with dust particles of Saharan origin over Romania. Between April 1 at 10 a.m. and April 2 at 10 p.m., dust particles will be maintained over the territory of Romania,” the National Meteorological Administration announced on Monday.

The institution specifies that “dust deposits will be observed starting from the night of Monday to Tuesday, in the west, north and center, where rain is forecast”, announces ANM.
