A 68-year-old man killed his wife on Sunday evening, March 31, in a house in Teslui commune, Olt county. The Oltean was detained, being investigated for murder.
Law enforcement officials say the woman was hit in the head with a piece of wood and then stabbed.
“From the first checks, the police established the fact that, on the evening of March 31, 2024, a 68-year-old man, against the background of alcohol consumption and an intra-family conflict, allegedly hit his wife several times with a piece of wood in the head area and allegedly stabbed her with a sharp-cutting object in the thoraco-pectoral area”it is stated in a press release from IPJ Olt.
The woman died, and her body was transported to the Slatina Emergency County Hospital, in order to carry out the necropsy, in order to accurately establish the cause of death.
Following the administered evidence, the case prosecutor, from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Olt Court, ordered the measure of detention for 24 hours against the 68-year-old man, under the aspect of committing the crime of murder.
The man was placed in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Olt County Police Inspectorate, to be presented to the Olt Court, with legal proposals, on April 1, 2024.
