Shocking details come to light…

--

On Monday, April 1, a new issue of the printed BIHOREAN appeared, with varied content and rich in exclusive information. Among the topics of the new edition:

“I killed them!”

105 years after the murder of the lawyers-martyrs Ioan Ciordaş and Nicolae Bolcaş, shocking details are revealed regarding the torture to which these militants were subjected for the cause of Romanian unity.

A report written in the middle of the last century by a journalist from Oradea, but which was never published, reveals the shocking confession of a Hungarian lieutenant who, many years after the cruel assassination of the two unionist intellectuals, confessed to the journalist that he was their real executioner , offering unknown details about the terrible act.

Bihor shows you who it is and what revelations he made about the tragic events.

Horizon… narrow

Bihor discovered a hallucinatory situation at a special school in Oradea, where the management decided that students with severe mental disabilities must stay at home during menstruation, as if it were a contagious disease.

Although the decision has no legal basis and restricts girls’ right to education, the director of the Orizont School Center for Inclusive Education believes that the ban is natural, arguing that she instituted it after discussions with school employees. And yet, he revoked it after what Bihor questioned the bosses…

With eyes on floats

NOTHING changes, bad habits don’t seem to disappear… Mayors from Bihor and their counter-candidates are still trying to get “imported” voters, who move to their localities on paper, just to vote for them .

Because in several communes the migration of people who change their residences from the localities of stable residence has already started, the Prefecture starts their verification with the Police, warning fictitious residents with criminal fines. See how extensive the phenomenon of electoral floats is!

Handicapped city

Speculating about an escape from the law, the number of drivers in Oradea who can park for free with handicap cards has increased in the last six years by 4.5 times, reaching almost 2,000.

Because the City Hall and the Local Police do not carry out checks, home parking lots have been filled with a forest of signs marking places reserved for people with disabilities, and the 100 reserved places in the city are always occupied.

Farewell!

Traffic has been opened on the new road that connects the Oradea Belt to the Autostrada. Bihor shows you how to travel on DX 16, one of the most anticipated investments in this part of the country, which considerably shortens the way to the exit of the country, but also which are the 5 connections it makes along the 19 kilometers

Diva in Oradea!

The great soprano Angela Gheorghiu will be the protagonist of an extraordinary concert at Sounds of Oradea.

In addition to the gala evening with opera arias and duets scheduled in Unirii Square, the festival will also include a concert by The Prague Cello Quartet and a ballet performance by the Sofia National Opera.

Mircea Chirilă: What is the Oradean looking for in Warsaw?

If you look at the map, it seems a bit unnatural to fly from Oradea to the north, to Warsaw, and then take it to the south, to another desired destination. However, in air transport, the routes are thought of differently. Many Romanians ended up flying all the way to Amsterdam to reach China, after Taromul was limited to traveling mainly on domestic routes. Why did we choose a collaboration with the Polish LOT? Probably because we don’t have Emirates or Turkish Airlines…

Adrian Cris: The future power, the future opposition

The last meeting of the CJ Bihor, the one last week, can be considered a litmus test for the future configuration of the county’s management formula for the next four years, until 2028. The head of the current administration, Ilie Bolojan, was caught in a precarious moment, on the eve of new elections, the obligation to obtain a two-thirds majority vote for the revised project of the Metropolitan Road Ring, after the Cluj Court of Appeal ordered the annulment of the three decisions on which the initial one was based, from 2022…

LEGAL CORNER:

Mircea Ursuța: “May 2 Law”: High-risk drug traffickers go to prison

On March 21, Law no. was published in the Official Gazette of Romania. 58/2024 amending both the special law on the sanctioning of drug trafficking and the criminal code. Specifically, the law, popularly known as the “May 2 Law”, stipulates that, in the case of certain crimes, the suspension under supervision of the punishment applied to the offender cannot be ordered, even if this punishment would be less than 3 years, the limit from which, according to the code criminal case, the judge can choose the regime of suspension under supervision of the execution of the sentence.
