Firefighters from ISU Harghita intervened on Friday afternoon to extinguish a fire that broke out in a disused hall in Gheorgheni.
“4 crews from the Gheorgheni Fire Department went to the scene, with 3 special fire trucks and a SMURD ambulance. SVSU Lăzarea, Ditrău, Joseni and Remetea were also sent to support“, informed ISU Harghita.
At the same time, due to the large releases of smoke, for the protection of the population in the vicinity of the demonstration area, a warning message was sent through the RO-ALERT system.
According to ISU Harghita, they burned the roof of the disused hall on an area of about 1000 square meters, about 10 square meters of the roof of a nearby warehouse and about 20 square meters of the roof of a transformer station.
The fire is localized, it no longer presents a danger of propagation.
