Hungarians, light years from Romania. They took our face: Maximum profit

--

Hungary, light years away from Romania! The neighboring country will get maximum profit from the exploitation of its deposits. Why doesn’t Romania do the same? This question was answered by Bogdan Comaroni, Octavian Hoandră and Robert Turcescu in the “HAI Live” podcast, broadcast exclusively on the YouTube channel “HAI Romania!”.

Hungary, light years away from Romania. Our neighbors will exploit a huge gold deposit

Hungary, light years away from Romania! Hungary has discovered a huge gold deposit in the Borzsony Mountains in the north of the country. The deposit contains gold and silver in the amount of almost 1,000 tons, being comparable to the one in Roșia Montană.

The total value of this deposit is estimated at 59 billion euros. The government in Budapest plans to organize an international auction for the exploitation of this wealth. Hungarian officials have already announced that gold extraction will be done by washing, not by cyanidation.

“I think they will and they do, that’s the point. And the question is, I come back to this matter, I understand, good, this is over with Roșia Montana. But don’t we also start exploiting some things from this country? That we have some reserves, not only of gold, silver. Of rare metals, yes, so couldn’t we also enter this global competition?

I remind you that at this time, speaking of everything that means deposits, there is enormous competition. Especially when it comes to rare metals, including gold, silver, of course, because there is demand in the market. It’s a massive demand,” said Robert Turcescu on Thursday during the “HAI Live” podcast on the “HAI Romania!” YouTube channel.

“Come on, Robert, but we are a colony, we don’t take his decisions”, added Octavian Hoandră.

“Marcel Ciolacu would give up today, I even laughed at one point, when he said, he says, “In conclusion, I want to close a topic that caused public debate.” So, to see what the public debate looks like in Romania. “The one related to the store schedule at the end of the week. From the signals received from society, it is clear that it is not appropriate for the store to be closed on the weekend”, said Ciolacu. “Others closed markets during the pandemic and set store hours. We are no longer at that stage,” said Ciolacu.

Romanian society is concerned with topics in this category. Do we close on weekends or not to close the supermarkets? But I saw one say, do we exploit or not exploit, I don’t know, the gold in Romania to make this country a super developed country in the coming years”, added the host of the podcast.

According to Bogdan Camaroni, each government should decide on exploitations according to the economic situation of the respective period. There is a dogma concerning the riches of the soil and subsoil. He criticized the idea that they should be left as a legacy for future generations.

From his point of view, the current generation could be the one that needs these resources. Exploiting them does not necessarily mean completely exhausting them. The decision to exploit these riches or not should be made according to the economic and historical situation of the moment. He rejected the idea that everything should be left as a legacy, suggesting that too many legacies could hinder progress.

“Okay, Călin says on the chat, he says: “Leave them in the ground until there is a government that will take them out for this country, let’s not give them to others for nothing.”, interrupted Robert Turcescu.

Exploitations in Romania are not done for the benefit of the Romanian people

According to Bogdan Camaroni, exploitations in Romania, including those of gas, oil and gold, are not done for the benefit of the Romanian people, but for personal interests and corruption. Previous governments have privatized these resources with elaborate specifications and minimal royalties. They benefited from big payoffs without being held accountable. These privatizations have not been sufficiently researched, except for a few notable cases.

Regarding the exploitation of gold from Roșia Montană or copper, he expressed his skepticism towards the Ciolacu-Ciucă government, considering that it could be influenced by impure interests. In Romania, there is a persistent problem of corruption, with officials being kept in office for privileges and kickbacks.

He contrasted the situation in Romania with that of Hungary, where the Orban Government announced an international auction for a deposit valued at 59 billion euros. He appreciated the fact that the auction will be managed by experts and specialized auction houses, which will choose the best bidder for exploitation based on the value it can bring to Hungary. In Romania, there should be a similar process to ensure an efficient exploitation of natural resources.

“Wait a minute, from your point of view we should move on to mining one… I don’t know, maybe gold, silver, yeah, something. I didn’t want shale gas. Gold, silver, not because cyans, because I don’t know what I understood. Aeolian, no, because the bird doesn’t know which one. Highways, no, that teddy bear. The gases from the Black Sea, no, because we are spoiling, I don’t know what the hell, or maybe we don’t have technology and so on…

So we, Romania, beyond… that we hear Ciolacu every time that the Romanian economy is booming and is the best in the European Union. Well, yes, we must raise taxes, yes, we must raise, have more money. At one point, I noticed one of those watching us, who said, “Sir, how come… the economy sucks, but we’re raising taxes?”, said Robert Turcescu.

“So be careful, Robert. Naturally, I agree, but with these conditions that their capitalization is at its maximum, the royalties are at their maximum and the citizen sees them. I mean, what would these look like? Because everyone who saw these phrases, we sold our country, we sold our deposits, I don’t know what, right, how is it done? I mean what do you get? So what does Hungary get?

So once you get maximum profit from making exploitations, royalties and all that available, the money comes into the budget from those funds that are visible to all citizens, it comes in and goes to investments that citizens can see, it leads to price drops, to welfare.

Or we this, with this I would like to conclude what I want to say here, we never through what we tried, we exploited, in addition to doing some political geostrategic reasons to enter NATO, the EU and other nonsense, and with minimal royalties, our citizen never saw anything, had no transparency and had no access to anything”, explained Bogdan Comaroni.
