Crime in Sector 2 of the Capital. A woman was stabbed by a neighbor in the block she managed

A woman, manager of an apartment building in Sector 2 of the Capital, was fatally stabbed on Thursday evening by a neighbor. He was detained and taken to hearings, reported the General Directorate of Police of the Municipality of Bucharest.

“On March 28, 2024, around 7:10 p.m., the Capital Police – Section 9 was notified, by several people who live in the same block, in Sector 2, regarding the fact that a neighbor had stabbed a woman, with a cutting-stabbing object. The police officers of Section 9 immediately went to the scene, where they identified and found the 57-year-old man suspected of committing the crime, who was immobilized and taken to the headquarters of the subunit”, transmitted, on Thursday evening, The Capital Police.

The cited source stated that a first-aid crew was also present, which, despite the efforts made, found the death of the victim, a 56-year-old woman.

“From the first checks, it was established that the act was committed in the area where the woman was working, as she was the administrator of the block. The case was taken over by the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bucharest Court, together with the Homicide Service – DGPMB, in order to continue the investigations and establish the circumstances in which the event occurred”, the quoted source added.

The lifeless body is to be transported to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, in order to carry out the necropsy.
