Starting from next week, the renovation and modernization of the building that houses the food block, the food warehouse and the laundry of the “Mavromati” County Hospital in Botoșani will begin.
The interim manager of the hospital, Corneliu Mihai, announced that the works will start soon and will last about a year. During the renovation, food for the patients of Mavromati-Marchian and the Psychiatry and Infectious Diseases wards will be prepared in the Maternity kitchen and the Pediatrics Department.
“The day after tomorrow we have to hand over the site here, to the kitchen and laundry. We are moving to the Maternity Hospital, where sanitation and repairs have been carried out, including the thermal installations in the basement. The kitchen there will serve Maternity, Marchian, Psychiatry and Infectious Diseases. We had to make procedures, rules, how to transport food, schedule, to respect food safety”, said Corneliu Mihai.
Food will be made for 750-800 patients, per day, from all wards of the hospital. Also, the laundry activity will be taken over by the laundry of the hospital’s Psychiatric Department. The food block of the County Hospital will be rehabilitated with 9 million lei.
