Eduard Lădaru claims that he chose to take the step to AUR, because the projects he has for Târgu-Jiu were taken over.
The municipal councilor had announced that he wanted to run for mayor in the June 9 local elections.
Now, however, he states that he is willing to support the candidate that AUR will appoint.
“The reason is that I am interested in Târgu-Jiu municipality and, following the discussions we had, AUR wants to take over a good part of my projects for Târgu-Jiu municipality and make a serious program to develop Târgu municipality -Jiu and to solve, first of all, the problems that exist in the municipality of Târgu-Jiu. I am not simply interested in a position or necessarily running for office, but I am interested in doing my duty to the municipality of Târgu-Jiu as a local councillor. I don’t think I will be the candidate for the mayor’s office of Târgu-Jiu. For the time being, the candidate has not been determined, a candidate is to be appointed. I will support the candidate to the extent that the agreement made is respected, namely the program for the Târgu-Jiu municipality to include my projects for the Târgu-Jiu municipality and the projects to solve the problems in the Târgu-Jiu municipality.
I am a team man, it is not as some embarrassing characters from the PSD leadership have declared, and I mean here strictly the PSD leadership, I am not referring to the simple members of the PSD, as well as the PSD supporters. I am not a man who necessarily wants to run for the mayor’s office of Târgu-Jiu municipality, I am not a man obsessed with positions, money, I am a team man, but who pursues the interest of Târgu-Jiu municipality, not personal interests. When the list of municipal councilors will be drawn up, when the candidate will be appointed, we will see if I will be on that list”, says Eduard Lădaru.
