The airport in Galati county will have an area of 250 hectares, to which will be added an area reserved for public investments of approximately 115 hectares.
Galati-Brăila International Airport is equipped with a passenger terminal, with an area of 28,500 square meters, and a cargo terminal, with an area of approximately 5,500 square meters.
Two years ago, the president of the Galați County Council, Costel Fotea, announced the conclusion of a protocol with Brăila County for the creation of an international airport, which would serve the entire region.
