The director of the Popular Bath has resigned from her position. The position is open to competition only for economists with a master’s degree in Finance

The City Hall of Sibiu put the position of director of the Baia Populară Public Service out for competition, after Ioana Dăncăneț resigned.

Until April 3, 2024, the session for submitting files is open for people interested in participating in the competition organized for the position of director of the Popular Bath in Sibiu, for an indefinite period. After the selection of the files, scheduled for the following day, the first tests of the competition (computer use and written respectively) are scheduled for April 11, 2024. The last test, the interview, will take place on April 16, 2024.

From the Administrative Code, to the Constitution of Romania or the Labor Code are the laws that constitute the contest theme. Apart from the general conditions imposed in a public office competition, in this case the City Hall requires that those interested have higher education in economic sciences, master’s degree in Finance and “experience in the specialty of studies – minimum 5 years”, as it is stated in the announcement made public by the local administration.

Ioana Dăncăneț is the one who held this position until four months ago, when she was suspended from her post. He later resigned, because he chose to move into the private sector: he took over the management of a hotel that had just opened in Brașov County, in the Bran Castle area. “Baia Populară is a service that works very well. Maintenance and cleanliness must be ensured, the team formed there being a very professional one. From my point of view, those who want to compete for this position must be willing to give their heart”, says Ioana Dăncăneț.

Inaugurated in December 1904, Baia Populară in Sibiu is described as “the oldest spa in Romania”. Between 2018 and 2021, it entered into an extensive rehabilitation project, with investments of approximately 3.5 million euros. Since 2023, the building of the Popular Bath has been classified as a historical monument.
