“You and Tulcea”, the new tourism brand of the city of Tulcea, as well as the visual identity associated with it, were launched on Friday, reports the Tourism Destination Management Organization (OMD) of the Municipality of Tulcea in a press release.

The announcement was made following a press conference attended by representatives of OMD Tulcea and the company Screen Native, which created the new brand, as well as representatives of the Tulcea town hall.

The creation of the new brand is the first step in a new approach to the promotion and development of tourism in Tulcea, one of the objectives assumed by OMD Tulcea, a newly established institution, the quoted statement also states. The initiative was carried out following the launch of a public questionnaire, in which around 1,000 Tulceni residents expressed their opinion on the city’s tourism potential.

The new brand is being promoted for the first time during the festival “Scrumpii de Florii”, which started on Friday and will continue until Sunday, in the Fisherman’s Village, and OMD Tulcea plans to create in the near future the map and the tourist brochure of the city, as well as the launch the mobile application and the creation of an official promotional spot, specifies the cited source.

The brand was created by Mugur Pătrașcu, originally from Tulcea and communication specialist within the Screen Native agency, concludes the institution.

  • “”You and Tulcea” places the tourist in a relationship of familiarity with the city. Any visit here transfers to the tourist from the local essences, makes him find himself in the local values, actually gives him the experience of being a resident, which, in terms of tourism, represents the ultimate experience”, is the intention behind the chosen name, explained Mugur Pătrașcu .
