Valentin Ștefan, the director of the Romanian Post Office, presented on Antena 3 CNN, the dates on which Romanians will receive their pensions, as a result of the Government’s promise.
Romanian Post started distributing pensions for the month of May on Saturday, before the Easter holidays, after the Government ordered, through a decision, that money reach people before May 5.
Asked if these deadlines will be respected, Valentin Ștefan, the director of the Romanian Post, said:
“Indeed, today was the first day that the Romanian Post delivered the pensions and this was possible thanks to the mobilization, I could say from the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Finance, so that the necessary money arrived in the accounts of the post office.
Today the first pensions were taken. Our schedule is to deliver all pensions by the end of next week. Tomorrow is Sunday and I have not personally mobilized.
Monday will be a normal day when we deliver the pensions. Tuesday the same. We don’t want to deliver on Wednesday because it’s a day off and we want the postal workers to enjoy this day off too.
And we will continue on Thursday. Depending on how this calendar goes we will decide if we work on Friday or not, but so far it has been a good day, a large number of pensions were delivered today and I don’t think we will need to work on Friday. I think we will finish on Thursday”, said Valentin Ștefan, the director of the Romanian Post to Antena 3 CNN.
