Liviu Dragnea, the former president of the Chamber of Deputies and a controversial figure in Romanian politics, took a new direction in business, setting up the company LND Trading SRL. This new commercial entity has as its main activity the wholesale trade of wood material, construction materials and sanitary equipment, according to CAEN code.
The company’s name, LND, is an abbreviation of Liviu Nicolae Dragnea’s initials, thus marking the former politician’s direct involvement in this project, as he used to do in the past with his cars to be known in Teleorman. The administrator of the company is Cristian Alin Turcu, from Turnu Măgurele, who also owns 10% of the company’s shares. The other 90% of the company belongs to Liviu Dragnea. The company is based in Bucharest.
The former politician’s move follows his release from prison and is seen as an attempt to reinvent himself in the business world after years of his son building up a substantial portfolio of companies in key money-making areas. Dragnea also started a business in the field of energy.

After two and a half years after his release from prison, Liviu Dragnea officially got down to business and invests in an extremely attractive and profitable sector: energy. On November 24, 2023, he registered the company Energy Multi Sistems SRL, in which he owns 30% of the shares.
Along with Liviu Dragnea, two other associates invested in this new business. Mihai Sebastian Romulus also owns 30% of the shares, while Dănuț Ungureanu owns 10%. It is interesting that the company Dami Procons International, specialized in construction works of residential and non-residential buildings, also has a 30% share in Energy Multi Sistems SRL.
Liviu Dragnea’s return to the business world arouses the interest of public opinion, given his political career and the time he spent in prison. We recall that he owned several shadow companies, such as TelDrum and other firms with considerable profit, in the name of his subjects.
