The COMPUTER Olympiad is addressed both to students from public education, as well as to those from private and denominational education, who have special skills in the field of informatics, at secondary and high school level.

The county stage of the IT Olympiad took place on March 16 and 17, 2024 at the “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School in Vaslui. On this occasion, we thank all colleagues involved in the organization and smooth running of the activities for their support.

104 students were enrolled at the county stage:

  • 5th – 8th grade: students;
  • 6th – 4th grade: students
  • Grade VII – a: 3 students;
  • Class VIII – a: 8 students;
  • Class IX – a: 25 students;
  • Class X – a: 23 students;
  • Class XI – a: 24 students;
  • Class XII – a: 12 students;

The “Specific Regulation regarding the organization and conduct of the Informatics Olympiad” provides for obtaining a minimum score of 80 points (secondary school level), respectively 120 points (high school level) for the qualification of students at the national stage.

At the national stage of the Olympiad, one student from each county will participate, the first in the hierarchy of the study class in which he competed, respecting the minimum score provided by the regulation and those in descending order of the scores obtained according to the national ranking achieved after the completion of the county stage / of the sectors of Bucharest municipality.

Thus, 7 students qualified with first place in the county and 15 qualified through the national ranking.

The students who will represent Vaslui county at the national stage in computer science are:

Andrei Cristian ED TURCU, a 12th grade student at the “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Theoretical High School in Vaslui, got first place. The student studies informatics at school, at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence and in the program “Let’s go to the Olympics!”. His tutors are: Florica CIURESCU, Vlad Laurentiu NICU.

Ionuț Cristian N. TOMA, a 12th grade student at “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School Vaslui, entered the national ranking. The student studies informatics at school, at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence and within the “Let’s go to the Olympics!” program. His tutor is Dan PRACSIU.

George Alexandru D. TĂNĂSUCĂ, student in the 12th grade at “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School Vaslui, entered the national ranking. The student studies informatics at school, at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence and within the “Let’s go to the Olympics!” program. His tutor is Dan PRACSIU.

Dimitrie Octavian F. RADU, student in the twelfth grade at “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Theoretical High School Vaslui, entered the national ranking. The student studies informatics at school, at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence and within the “Let’s go to the Olympics!” program. His tutors are: Florica CIURESCU, Vlad Laurentiu NICU.

Diana-Delia G. DORNEANU, a 12th grade student at “Gheorghe Roșca Codreanu” National College Vaslui, entered the national ranking. Denis-Teodor CC CIOVNICU, 11th grade student at “Nicolae Iorga” Negresti Technological High School, entered the national ranking. The student studies informatics at school, at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence and within the “Let’s go to the Olympics!” program. His tutors are: Dumitru-Paul ȘOREANU and Dan PRACSIU.

Alexandru Daniel A. GHEORGHICĂ, eleventh grade student at “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School Vaslui, entered the national ranking. The student studies informatics at school, at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence and in the “Let’s go to the Olympics!” program. His tutor is Dan PRACSIU.

Matei Gabriel C. LUCA, a student in the 10th grade at the “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School in Vaslui, won first place. The student studies informatics at school, at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence and in the “Let’s go to the Olympics!” program. His tutor is Dan PRACSIU.

Vlad Cristian M. APOPUȚOAIE, student in the 10th grade at “Emil Racoviță” Theoretical High School Vaslui, entered the national ranking. The student studies informatics at school, at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence and within the “Let’s go to the Olympics!” program. His tutor is Dan PRACSIU.

Rareș George C. SAVA, student in the 9th grade at “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Theoretical High School Vaslui, entered the national ranking. Horațiu-Andreas C. TOMA, student in the 8th grade at “Episcop Iacov Antonovici” Bârlad Secondary School, entered the national ranking. The student studies informatics at school and at the Bârlad County Center of Excellence. His tutor is Bogdan MOCANU.

Mitruț-Gabriel C. SERENI, eighth grade student at “George Tutoveanu” Secondary School Bârlad, entered the national ranking. The student studies informatics at school and at the Vaslui County Center of Excellence, as part of the “Let’s go to the Olympics!” program.
