Romanian art in the heart of England! Seven artists from Cluj will present their works at a contemporary art gallery in London

Seven talented artists from Cluj-Napoca will bring the vibrant energy and unique perspectives of Romanian art to the heart of London.

The artists will exhibit their work at the JD Malat Gallery in Mayfair, London from 10-27 April.

The group exhibition, symbolically called “The Cluj Collective”, brings together the works of artists: Marcel Rusu, Oana Fărcaș, Dragoș Bădiță, Dan Măciuca, Cătălin Tăvală, Cristian Lapusan, Botond Gagyi, all graduates of the University of Arts and Design Cluj-Napoca.

The collection of works invites viewers on a journey through the complexities of human experience, exploring themes of identity, nature, freedom, power, spirituality and reality, being inspired by the culture of the city of Cluj-Napoca, according to modernism.ro.

The works in this collection were created with an intense and critical focus on narrative and figurative painting, being described as “a fable”, full of double meanings that viewers can decipher, in a personal way, thus becoming simple viewers, active participants in the story created around them.

JD Malat Gallery, where the exhibition will be held, specializes in contemporary art and represents over 20 international artists in a diverse range of mediums, from sculpture and painting to video and photography.
