The head of the Ilfov County Council, Hubert Thuma, announced that the old high school building in Snagov will be demolished. Its place will be taken by a campus that will include a boarding school, gym, medical offices, etc.
A new high school is being built in Snagov. The project will be built on the site of the former “Mihail Kogălniceanu” high school. The old high school building was demolished, and students of grades VIII-XII currently study in two schools in the commune. The building is to be rebuilt. A campus with all the facilities of a modern education center will be built on the site of the former building. The works will start in the next period and will last two years.
Also, the accommodation and the gym will be strengthened and modernized. The boarding school, for example, will increase from 25 to 50 rooms, each with its own bathroom. The gym and medical offices will be modernized, a dining room, a reading room, two sports fields and an amphitheater will be set up. In the end, the campus and the high school will have a video surveillance system, says Hubert Thuma.
The rehabilitation and expansion of the Snagov campus is being done with 45.8 million lei, money from the National Investment Company. I congratulate the mayor Angel Michael! Any investment in education has a positive impact on our children and therefore on us, added CJ Ilfov president Hubert Thuma.
