Considering the CODE YELLOW meteorological warnings, issued by the National Meteorological Administration, valid for Harghita county, in the intervals March 28, 10 a.m. – March 28, 8 p.m., respectively March 28, 8 p.m. – March 29, 10 a.m., according to which ” The wind will intensify locally in Transylvania and the Eastern Carpathians, where there will be speeds in general of 55…65 km/h, and at high altitudes the gusts will exceed 90 km/h”, and “During the night from Thursday to Friday (March 28/29), locally in Transylvania the wind will show intensifications with speeds in general of 55…65 km/h, and in the high area of the Eastern Carpathians, gusts will exceed 90…100 km/h”, ISU “Oltul” Harghita advises citizens to avoid travel during the manifestation of the forecasted phenomena and to take shelter in buildings or closed spaces, which ensure their protection.

In the event that you are caught in open areas, you must quickly move away from the area where the warned phenomena are manifested and identify a space that guarantees protection.

To limit the possible damage caused by strong winds, the parking of vehicles will be done in protected areas, at a safe distance from trees, billboards or electricity poles.

Last but not least, we recommend that citizens notify the authorities immediately, via the number 112, if they have information about people who are in danger or other situations that may negatively affect communities.
