The town hall of Peștişani was awarded at the “Romania esti tu” gala for “Contribution to the Promotion and Development of Indigenous Tourism”. Mayor Cosmin Pigui received the diploma of excellence for “Conserving Romanian Traditions and Promoting the Artistic Heritage of Constantin Brâncuși”.
The event took place at the Parliament Palace as part of the “Angels for Romania” edition gala, which brought together around 800 people-representatives of the government, mayors, entrepreneurs, people of culture or the media.
At the meeting with the mayor Cosmin Pigui, the Minister of Economy, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Ștefan Radu Oprea learned about the development projects of the Peștișani commune and expressed his full support. Only the city of Sibiu was nominated in the category of Promotion and Development of Indigenous Tourism outside the municipality of Peștişani.
“It is an honor for us to recognize the outstanding efforts and achievements of some special people in our community. Each award is a symbol of the dedication, perseverance and vision that guides these people to success” emphasized the organizers.
