On Sunday, April 28, a 50-year-old man drowned in the sea, in the resort of Mamaia, his body being found on Palm Sunday.

The representatives of the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Dobrogea announced that the firefighters were requested to intervene in a drowned person in the Black Sea, in the area in front of the Sulina Hotel in Mamaia.
Thus, a truck with water and foam, a RIB boat and a SMURD B crew moved urgently to the scene of the tragedy.
The man, who met his end in the sea, was about 50 years old.
His lifeless body was recovered from the Black Sea.

The police have announced that they have identified the deceased man and have opened a criminal investigation file for the crime of manslaughter. The lifeless body will be taken to the morgue for the necropsy.

“On April 28, police officers from the Constanţa Municipal Police-Mamaia Police Station were alerted to the fact that the body of a man was found in the Black Sea. The policemen dispatched to the scene found that the reported cases are confirmed, the deceased person not being identified until this moment. In the case, investigations are continuing in order to establish the causes of death and to identify the person, as a criminal investigation file has been prepared for the commission of the crime of manslaughter”the IPJ Constanța representatives sent.
