Meteorologists warn that between March 27, 10 a.m. and March 29, 9 p.m., wind intensifications will occur in various regions of the country. In general, speeds of 45…55 km/h will be recorded, with gusts that can exceed 60…70 km/h in mountainous areas.
Also, rains will be recorded in the western, central and northern areas of the country, and the amount of water will reach up to 10…15 l/m2 locally. These phenomena can favor the melting of the mountain snow cover.
There is also a Yellow Code warning for wind intensifications, valid in two distinct time intervals:
- Between March 27, 10 a.m. – March 27, 10 p.m.: The wind will intensify in Banat, the south of Crișana, in most of Moldova, in the Southern Carpathians and Curbura, with speeds of 55…65 km/h and gusts that they can exceed 90 km/h in mountainous areas.
- Between March 27, 10 p.m. – March 28, 10 a.m.: Wind intensifications will persist in Banat, southern Crișana and the Southern Carpathians, with speeds generally of 55…65 km/h and gusts that can exceed 90 km/h in mountainous areas .
People in these areas are advised to be cautious and to constantly inform themselves about the evolution of weather conditions.
