The BBC attacked the Romanian national team hard, after the draw with Northern Ireland! The verdict is as harsh as how poorly Edi Iordănescu’s team played, which ended in a draw, score 1-1, in the friendly match played on Friday evening.
After the tie result obtained on Friday evening by Edi Iordănescu’s students in front of the representative team of Northern Ireland, 1-1, the English wrote that Romania lacked quality in the second half at the National Arena.
The Romanian national team met Northern Ireland on Friday, at the National Arena, in a friendly match. The tricolors did not have the best performance, being criticized by the BBC as well. The Northern Irish opened the scoring in the 7th minute, through a quick counterattack, the scorer being Jamie Reid (29 years old), a striker from the third English league. Edi Iordănescu’s team restored the tie, in the 23rd minute, through the goal of Dennis Man (25 years old). Since the success of the goal scorer from Parma, the table remained unchanged, and the final result was 1-1.
BBC journalists criticized the Friday night match played by Romania. The British considered the second half as lacking in spectacle, noting that the less qualitative team was that of Romania.
