For seven years, the royal family and government members of the Joseon Kingdom have been trying to find a new consort for young King Lee Heon after his first wife died, leaving him heartbroken. The gloomy atmosphere at the royal court changes with the picturesque appearance of an unusual girl: Ye So-Rang, beautiful and clever, who pretends to be a medium to earn a living. Arrested and brought before the king, the girl declares that the palace is haunted by the spirit of his ex-wife, whom she can summon from the other world. Committed to winning the king’s trust and helping restore order to the kingdom, Ye So-Rang must continue her streak of lies and claim to be possessed by the spirit of the late princess, which inevitably causes more complications.
