Finally what all the hipsters wanted was released: handels on vinyl, which they can enjoy, ironically of course, on long lonely evenings. It’s time to dust off the Khruangbin LPs they’ve been listening to since hearing they’re on the bill at Electric Castle, because the pickups will permanently have Dorian Popa’s, Erika’s latest Isac, of Smiley or of the other established manelists.
“Together with the flat white at 18 lei, the mane on vinyl becomes a new badge of the hipster, just as the tattoo with a quote is the emblem of the cockerel,” says psychologist Decebal Popescu. He puts the delay in releasing the handcuffs on vinyl on the reluctance of music producers. “They thought that no one would give money to have a disc with music that you can find on any stick. They underestimated the power of the stupid fudul”, says Decebal Popescu.
“Maneles on vinyl have a fabulous sound, which transcends the noise of drills in Militari Residence, where hipsters rent two or three and thus life goes forward, ironically of course,” says the psychologist.
