“Another man came who was a real man, strong, charming, I couldn’t resist him”

Marina Voica told her life story and talked about her first husband, but also how she decided to leave him for another man. The famous artist was married twice. The first time with Marcel Voica, whose last name he kept, and the second time with the doctor Viorel Teodorescu.

“Another man came who was a real man, strong, charming, I couldn’t resist him. What courage I had to leave the apartment on Calea Victoriei, only I and a Russian woman could do that. A Romanian woman, no, she’s very cerebral. They have a certain education, a very good one, from their mothers’ milk. Come to think of it, I couldn’t stay with Marcel. It was too much of a difference though. I come from a family of intellectuals and he was the first generation to wear shoes. It’s not his fault and it’s not my fault. There was no way (to understand me). He didn’t know I had talent. He was very capable, but we had nothing in common. When we were students he was nice, spoke fluent Russian, nice, handsome, loved by our Moscow gang. But I saw him in his place. Why Marina Voica had no children

The second husband was the “love of her life” and she believes that she made the best choice when she decided to leave Marcel Voica for the doctor Viorel Teodorescu. Although her life partner wanted to have children, Marina Voica never saw herself as a mother. She also stated that she does not regret not having children and thinks that she must have been a possessive mother.

“I don’t regret (not having children). Why should I regret something I once didn’t want? Do I know what kind of child I had? What examples of friends with children I had. Some very happy and some very unhappy. I don’t think I was a mother… I’m very exclusive. After you breastfeed him, you know how he grows up, still under your eyes, everything is yours and at a certain point he grows up, then he learns not to respect you anymore, and I was suffering and of course, if it was a boy it would be a catastrophe. Having reached a respectable age, Marina Voica confessed that she began to feel lonely, especially because she can no longer do everything by herself. The singer stated that she had spoken to someone close to her about her funeral and had already established some details about the moment.

Marina Voica said that she will have a museum in Câmpina, and her friend, who is a priest, will take care of this place.

“I have a friend, a dean, he will take care of my funeral, we have already decided. He proposed to me to do this thing, I didn’t think about it, but he did very well. (…) Now he is building my museum, a museum will be opened in Câmpina, the house is already almost built, the father is very good at this, it is a kind of business”, she said.
