At the same time, the Russians used more than 2,000 components produced by a total of 200 companies in 22 countries to manufacture their fighter jets, such as the Su-27SM3, Su-30SM, Su-34, Su-35S, Su -57 and even MiG-31I. Some of the components were American, says the Ukrainian military press consulted by Newsweek.

Russia claims to have the most improved variant of the MiG called the MiG 31I which can more accurately launch hypersonic Kinzhal missiles.

The MiG-31I, where the “I” comes from “Ishim”, is positioned by the Russians themselves as the latest version of the X-47M2 Kinzhal (Kinjal) airborne missile carrier. The mere fact that this type of aircraft is mentioned in the Ukrainian intelligence report means that the MiG-31I exists not only in the publications of Russian propagandists, but also as a very real weapon.

The Russians first announced this very MiG-31I “Ishim” in the fall of 2022, and even then they positioned this development as the latest version of the Kinzhal aircraft carrier, which is better than the basic MiG-31K.

The most important difference between the MiG-31I and its “predecessor” is the modification of the MiG-31K. While in the second type of aircraft, pilots must manually enter the necessary data into the on-board equipment to launch the Kinzhal, in the first type of aircraft, the on-board equipment would allow the launch “automatically, without the participation of the pilot” , depending on the specified parameters.

If this alleged feature of the MiG-31I is true, it means that the Russian occupiers can now theoretically hit Ukraine’s military and civilian infrastructure with Kinzhal missiles much more accurately.

Why is Russia’s new plane dangerous?

During dictator Kim Jong-un’s visit to Vladivostok, Russia, Defense Minister Shoigu and his subordinates announced not only the introduction of an X-BD long-range cruise missile for the Tu-160, but also the “refinement” of an unknown type cruise missile for the Tu-22M3, which would receive a warhead with a capacity of 1750 kilograms, as well as the fact that an upgraded MiG-31I could now be used to launch the X-47M2 Kinzhal air-launched missile that costs 10,000 .000 dollars.

The missile has a range of 2,000 kilometers, it is a hypersonic missile.

It has Mach 10 speed and the ability to perform evasive maneuvers. It can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads. So far it was known that it can be launched from Tu-22M3 bombers. It can now also be launched from the MiG-31I

Since we are talking about elements of a possible strengthening of Russia’s missile arsenal, these statements must be analyzed separately.
