Prince William gave some information about Princess Kate and his family on Tuesday during an official visit to a suicide prevention center in Newcastle, reports BFMTV.
“Do you mind if I ask how your wife and children are doing?” the Prince of Wales was asked by a woman.
He replied: “Everyone is fine, thank you. Yes, we are fine,” he confirmed.
The Prince of Wales, the heir to the British Crown, resumed his official engagements on April 18, after a break in which he was with his wife and children. Princess Kate revealed in a video on March 22 that she was suffering from cancer, without specifying its nature, but said she had started preventive chemotherapy and confessed that it was a “huge shock”.
In her message, the princess stated that she took some time to break the news to her children and to explain her illness “in an appropriate manner”. The announcement of her illness also ended weeks of wild rumors circulating on social media about her health. Kate underwent abdominal surgery of an unspecified nature in January. Initially, it was said that the princess would need a rather long recovery, until after the Catholic Easter.
At the end of March, the royal couple and their children did not attend the traditional Easter service at St George’s Chapel in west London, which took place a week after it was announced that the princess was suffering from cancer. Kate has not appeared in public since announcing that she was diagnosed with cancer.
On April 23, Kate posted a photo of her youngest son Louis on social media to mark his birthday. On Monday, the Prince and Princess of Wales also revealed a new photo on the occasion of their wedding anniversary.
King Charles III, who is also suffering from cancer, resumed his official duties on Tuesday and gave the public some reassuring news about his health.
