The actor Gerard Depardieu was summoned on Monday to be placed in preventive detention at the headquarters of the Judicial Police in Paris, where he is to be questioned in connection with the accusations of sexual assault made against him, said a source from the police in France, informs AFP. quoted by Agerpres.

Gerard Depardieu, a sacred monster of French cinema, already indicted for rape and sexual assault in another case, is targeted by two complaints filed by two women who accused him of sexual assault.

A decorator who worked on the team of the film “Les Volets Verts”, directed by Jean Becker, accuses the French star of sexually assaulting her in 2021.

She filed a complaint in February 2024 for sexual assault, sexual harassment and sexist slurs. The investigations were entrusted to the third district of the Paris Judicial Police.

The facts would date from September 2021 and would have happened in a private villa in Paris.

According to an article published in the daily newspaper Mediapart, Gerard Depardieu would have uttered several rude phrases during the filming, then would have touched the applicant in an unauthorized manner.

The other complaint was made by a former assistant director, who accused the French star of sexual assault in 2014.

The famous actor has been indicted since 2020 for rape and sexual assault on a young actress, Charlotte Arnould.

Actress Helene Darras also filed a complaint against him for sexual assault during filming in 2007, but that complaint was dismissed by the Paris Prosecutor’s Office for statute of limitations.

In Spain, Gerard Depardieu is the subject of a complaint filed by journalist and writer Ruth Baza, who accuses him of raping her in 1995.
